Christmas History | Why Celebrate Christmas, December 25?



Christmas is a Celebration of Jesus Christ Birth, Christmas celebration more than two millennia in many religious, Pagan tradition includes a worldwide religious and secular celebration, has been developed. Today, the Christmas get together and exchange gifts to family and friends for a while.

Christ birth anniversary is December 25, but most scholars to date the birth of Christ are unsure about.  The decision to celebrate Christmas on December 25 during the fourth century, while the Church was by the Bishop in Rome. They had a specific reason for doing so.



Long before a true worship of God and creator of all things becoming of the Roman Empire, many early cultures had fallen in the Sun worship. Over the course of the Sun in the sky to identify their dependency, they are annual winter solstice when the days are shortest in December held feasts around. As part of their festivals, they give the power of the Sun God bonfires and designed to bring back to life. When it was clear days were longer, there will be great rejoicing made.

In Rome, church leaders in an effort to Christianize the pagan celebration of these popular Christ decided to celebrate the winter solstice during birth. For the most part people failed their efforts to conform to, and continued the pagan celebration. Today we find ourselves Christmas celebration featuring a bizarre marriage that our modern Pagan and Christian elements are left with.

So many December traditions of pagan background, and whether or not Jesus was born on December 25, regardless of, our goal is still the true creator and Christ at Christmas to turn the eyes of all people. It is the light of the world. And the celebration of the Christmas season and Church good news-men can be righteous and peace with God through faith in his son, Jesus Christ, with a wonderful opportunity to hype.
